3 Years of SVAR UI: Building Advanced Components for React, Svelte, and Vue

This month, SVAR UI turns three! What a year it has been! ๐ŸŽ‰

A year ago, we had six packages for two frameworks, Svelte and React. Today, the SVAR UI collection includes 24 npm packages for Svelte, React, and Vue. We introduced the PRO edition for some of the components, but the core of every component remains available under the free MIT license.

We continue to offer ready-to-use UI components for web developers, helping them build high-performance, interactive applications faster. We also introduced AI tools to give AI coding assistants everything they need to generate correct SVAR-based code.

Our goal remains the same: give you an easy way to integrate complex UI components into your projects โ€” so you can spend less time on routine work and more on what matters.

SVAR UI in Numbers

Here are some numbers to show our growth through this year:

Every star, issue, forum thread, and install is the reason we start each week preparing the next release. We appreciate everyone who has used SVAR UI components and hope weโ€™ve helped you create something meaningful and useful!

What Changed This Year

A year ago, SVAR UI was a two-framework project with six packages and we were wondering: could we build a Gantt chart and a data grid that feel native in both Svelte and React? And we did, and then added a native Vue 3 version of our components.

Over the past year, we asked a different question: what does SVAR look like when its shape is complete? Here are the main things weโ€™ve added since last October:

PRO edition with enterprise-grade features

In December 2025, we introduced the PRO edition for SVAR Gantt for Svelte and React, while its core moved from GPL to MIT. The free edition remained a working Gantt chart. Over the year Gantt PRO added export, resource planning, and the scheduling engine.

We also released two more components for scheduling and task planning: Calendar and Kanban with free cores and PRO editions for more complex scenarios and large datasets. Later Vue components followed the same free-core/PRO-edition approach for the Gantt, Calendar, and Kanban components.

A three-framework project: React, Svelte & Vue

We introduced the SVAR Vue component library with Core, Editor, and Filter in April, followed by DataGrid, Gantt, and File Manager later in April and May. Building the Vue versions was not a port: the API shape stays familiar, while the reactivity model underneath is different, Vue-native.

We made the documentation readable by AI agents

We released an MCP server in December, then skills and context packs in May, providing a comprehensive toolset for AI-assisted development. Coding assistants can now access the SVAR documentation, knowledge base, and demos to write correct code when you integrate or customize the SVAR components.

A Year of Releases at a Glance

Over the past year, these releases helped SVAR UI grow into a solid library of ready-to-use, complex components:

Our Third Year in Milestones

Here is a closer look at the releases and updates behind this timeline:

๐Ÿ”น December 2025 โ€” SVAR Gantt 2.4 with PRO edition and an MIT core
At the end of 2025, we released version 2.4 of SVAR Gantt with the PRO edition for Svelte and React versions. The PRO edition extended the free core of the Gantt chart with the enterprise-grade features and scheduling logic required for more complex project management applications.

We also transferred the open-source core of SVAR Gantt from GPL to the free MIT license, giving developers more freedom to use the component in their projects under the MIT license.

๐Ÿ”น December 2025 โ€” MCP Server for SVAR UI
The same release introduced the SVAR MCP server that gives AI agents access to SVAR docs and knowledge base, reducing guesswork during integration and customization.

๐Ÿ”น January 2026 โ€” Gantt v2.5 with Export Feature
SVAR Gantt PRO 2.5 added export to PDF, PNG, Excel, and MS Project, giving users an easy way to share Gantt charts in their preferred format and developers an easy way to migrate timelines from MS Project to SVAR Gantt. Both Svelte and React versions were updated.

๐Ÿ”น March 2026 โ€” Filter 2.5, Gantt 2.6, and Benchmark
FilterQuery brought structured queries and AI-powered natural-language filtering into our Filter library. As a result of this update, Gantt gained a task-filtering feature. Its PRO edition also added rollups and slack visualization for schedule analysis.

In March, we benchmarked six React Gantt libraries, including our own, across datasets from 1,000 to 100,000 tasks โ€” and published the method, datasets, code, and limitations. In our benchmark, SVAR React Gantt showed one of the best results in performance with large datasets. The benchmark focused on rendering performance and did not include the scheduling engine.

๐Ÿ”น Aprilโ€“May 2026 โ€” Vue joins SVAR UI
We released SVAR components written in Vue 3, giving Vue developers a set of complex components: Vue Core, Editor, Filter, DataGrid, Gantt, and File Manager components.

๐Ÿ”น May 2026 โ€” Calendar, AI agent skills
SVAR Calendar launched for Svelte, React, and Vue at the same time. Each version is a framework-native event calendar with an MIT core and PRO features for resource planning and recurring event management. We also published skills and context packs for coding agents, including Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and Gemini CLI.

๐Ÿ”น June 2026 โ€” Gantt 2.7, Kanban
SVAR Gantt 2.7 introduced resource load view, individual calendars, and WBS codes, bringing resource planning into Gantt PRO. SVAR Kanban arrived for Svelte, React, and Vue with drag-and-drop task management, an editor, context menu, and virtualization.

๐Ÿ”น September 2026 โ€” Calendar 2.7
SVAR Calendar 2.7 added a mobile layout for the open-source Calendar, while PRO added editable recurring events, timezone support, and PDF, PNG, and Excel export.

๐Ÿ”น October 2026 โ€” Gantt 2.8
The major update of SVAR Gantt introduced the upgraded scheduling engine. Now all four link types drive dates, slack, and the critical path. The release also added six constraint types, deadlines, and task dates calculated from resource calendars. SVAR Gantt PRO became an enterprise-grade solution for project management apps, providing not only the visual part but also powerful auto-scheduling logic for React, Svelte, and Vue Gantt charts.

Thank You & Looking Ahead

We are still a small but motivated team. What has changed is the scope of what we build and maintain: three frameworks, one consistent API shape, five advanced UI components, and three supporting libraries โ€“ all with fast performance and a rich feature set. We are proud to offer SVAR UI to developers who put these components in front of their customers.

It has been a busy year: we expanded SVAR UI to Vue, introduced PRO editions, strengthened the Gantt scheduling engine, and made our documentation more accessible to AI coding assistants.

Thank you for the stars, the issues, the forum threads, and especially the harsh ones. Hereโ€™s to year four! ๐Ÿš€
